Talqin Prayer

(Note: the Arabic and its transliteration will be added subsequently)

 Talqin is a prayer to be recited to those who have just died and burried to remind them of their faith and strengthen them before the presence of Angles Munkar and Nakir.

//are in the brink of the death to strengthen their faith in their final hours.//

Ibrahim 14:27

يُثَبِّتُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِٱلْقَوْلِ ٱلثَّابِتِ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَفِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِۖ وَيُضِلُّ ٱللَّهُ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَۚ وَيَفْعَلُ ٱللَّهُ مَا يَشَآءُ 

Allah confirmeth those who believe by a firm saying in the life of the world and in the Hereafter, and Allah sendeth wrong-doers astray. And Allah doeth what He will.

The Talqin Prayer is as follows:

1. There is no God who is worthy to be worshiped beside Allah alone, no companion for Him, for Him is The Kingdom and The Praise, He make things alive and dead and He live forever without death, in His power is every goodness and He is almighty over everything.

2. Aal-i-Imran 3:185

كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَآئِقَةُ ٱلْمَوْتِۗ وَإِنَّمَا تُوَفَّوْنَ أُجُورَكُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِۖ فَمَن زُحْزِحَ عَنِ ٱلنَّارِ وَأُدْخِلَ ٱلْجَنَّةَ فَقَدْ فَازَۗ وَمَا ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَآ إِلَّا مَتَٰعُ ٱلْغُرُورِ 

Every soul will taste of death. And ye will be paid on the Day of Resurrection only that which ye have fairly earned. Whoso is removed from the Fire and is made to enter paradise, he indeed is triumphant. The life of this world is but comfort of illusion.

3. O the servant/handmaiden of Allah - the name is called here - the son/daughter of the servant and the handmaiden of Allah, remember the vow that you bring from this world into the world to come. That is, the confession that here is no God who is worthy to be worshiped beside Allah and that Muhammad pbuh is the Apostle of  Allah; and the death is truth; the world of the dead is truth; its goodness and judgement are truth; the questions fron Angles Munkar and Nakir in the world of the dead are truth; the ressurection of the dead and the reckoning are truth; the syafaq̇at of our master Prophet Muhammad pbuh is truth; heaven in truth; hell is truth; the meeting of Allah and the truth bearers (Ahli Ḣaq) is truth; and that Allah will rise everyone from the world of the dead (Qubur). 

4. Now, you have comed to the layer of the earth and are among the dead. When two angels who are sent come to you, they are Munkar and Nakir, then do not be shocked or to be afraid of them, for indeed they are the creatures of Allah.

5. When the two ask you, ''Who is your God; who is your Prophet; what is your religion; what is your orientation (Qiblat); what is your leader (Imam); and who are your brethrens?'' then answer those questions from them with your tongue and right faith.

6. ''Allah is my God; Muhammad is my Prophet; Islam is my religion; Kaq̇bah is my orientation; Qur'an is my leader; and the muslims and the mu'mins are my brethrens.''

7. And say, ''I sincerely accept Allah as God; Islam as religion; Muhammad pbuh as Prophet and Apostle'', and by holding unto those you live, and by holding unto those you die, and by holding unto those you will be ressurected, if Allah's willing, in the state of peace.

8. May Allah strengthen your faith with the firm word. (Thrice said)

9. Ibrahim 14:27

10. Al-Fajr 89:27-30

يَٰٓأَيَّتُهَا ٱلنَّفْسُ ٱلْمُطْمَئِنَّةُ 

ٱرْجِعِىٓ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكِ رَاضِيَةً مَّرْضِيَّةً 

فَٱدْخُلِى فِى عِبَٰدِى 

وَٱدْخُلِى جَنَّتِى 

But ah! thou soul at peace!

Return unto thy Lord, content in His good pleasure!

Enter thou among My bondmen!

Enter thou My Garden!
